MTSP to provide support to Major Trauma Patients and their families at John Radcliffe Hospital

We are delighted to announce the new partnership between the Major Trauma Signposting Partnership (MTSP) and John Radcliffe Hospital, run by Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Created in 2015 at St. George’s Hospital in London, the MTSP aims to improve the experience of patients and their families, both initially and in the longer term. Its success has seen the scheme expand from one to ten Major Trauma Centres today. The MTSP is not about fixing a patient’s physical injuries – that’s the job of NHS clinical teams. Rather, it helps a patient and their family navigate the new challenges facing them following a major trauma event.

The MTSP team of hospital-based Advisers will be on hand to support patients and their families with practical, social and welfare advice. The service will be delivered in partnership with Citizens Advice Oxford who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to help support families.
