Carers hub Lambeth are an independent local charity based in Brixton and work with carers aged five upwards. Whether financial. educational or otherwise, they seek to limit the challenges that carers face. This is achieved by improving carer’s wellbeing, connecting carers to support and training opportunities, awareness raising and influencing local policy.

Carers Trust provide help and advice whilst also working to improve support, services and recognition for anyone living with the challenges of caring, unpaid, for a family member or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or addiction problems. Their website has a range of information and advice for carers including their useful ‘Help Directory’.

Carers UK provides information, advice and support to carers. Their website provides information about any aspect of caring including support with Carer’s Allowance, benefit checks, advice on financial and practical matters related to caring, practical help or exploring what technology is available to make caring easier. They provide factsheets that break down the complex issues simply and accurately so you get the full picture of the support available. The Care Workers’ Charity (CWC) was founded in 2009 with the objective of supporting current and former care workers with one-off crisis grants. The CWC support the almost 2 million care workers in the UK, contributing to one of the largest workforces.

Young Carers is part of the Carers Trust and helps young carers to cope with their caring role through specialised services across the UK. These services are delivered by Carers Trust Network Partners, which are independent charities offering young carers the chance to be young people free from their caring responsibilities through trusted activities, clubs, outings, holidays and one-to-one support.
