Our story – making a difference since 2015

Since our launch in 2015, the Major Trauma Signposting Partnership (MTSP) has been dedicated to supporting over 8,000 major trauma patients. Our commitment to making a positive impact has led to the successful implementation of our service at ten Major Trauma Centres in the UK. As we continue to grow, our mission remains rooted in providing invaluable support and care to those navigating the challenges of major trauma.

The MTSP was developed in partnership with St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to improve the care pathway and recovery of major trauma patients.

We now support 10 hospitals across the UK.

Jo Schuberth
Marketing

With a background in marketing and project management, Jo has worked at Cardinal Management since Jan 2020. She is responsible for developing and implementing MTSP branding and marketing initiatives, and supporting the MTSP teams within the hospitals.

Sian Richardson
Hospital Relationship Manager

Sian has spent the last ten years within the rehabilitation industry, working for two specialist rehabilitation service providers assisting those with life changing injuries. Within these roles, Sian has listened to countless families and trauma patients whose lives have been turned upside down and are overwhelmed by what has happened. Joining Cardinal as the Hospital Relationship Manager in September 2022 seemed the logical move, both to support those NHS Major Trauma Centres whose patients already benefit from the wrap around service delivered by the MTSP, but to also forge new working relationships with those MTCs who currently have yet to consider the service.

FAQs

At MTSP, we stand firm in providing free support to all trauma patients in the hospitals we serve, with no financial obligations ever placed on patients or their family. Cardinal Management who operate the MTSP at each hospital, receives a significant proportion of its funding from members of the legal panel who are associated to each hospital. This enables us to extend our services to all patients, regardless of their need for legal advice. Interestingly, over 75% of those benefitting from MTSP services find the support they require without delving into legal matters.

Our MTSP Advisers in each hospital are driven by a genuine commitment to supporting patients and their families during challenging times. Importantly, their focus is not on encouraging legal advice but on brightening a difficult day and making it a bit better. Your well-being is our priority, and we’re here to ensure that support is offered with sincerity and care.
